10 March 2026 — Ten Chemical Engineering students from Politeknik Brunei embarked on an educational journey to Lanzhou, People’s Republic of China, from 10 March to June 2026 as part of the Hengyi Industries Sendirian Berhad collaboration with Lanzhou Petrochemical University of Vocational Technology (LPUVT). The programme provides international exposure, technical knowledge development, and hands-on industry insights, with the expectation that the students will contribute to Brunei’s energy and petrochemical sectors. The sending-off ceremony was attended by the Acting Director, Hengyi Industries representatives, Head of School of Petrochemical, lecturers, officers, students, families, and friends. A sponsorship signing ceremony for the Diploma in Chemical Engineering was held on 24 February 2026 at Hengyi Industries.
