Politeknik Brunei Celebrates Hari Raya Aidilfitri Across All Five Schools

18 April 2026 – Politeknik Brunei marked the end of Syawal with a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration across all five schools, bringing together staff and students in a spirit of unity and festivity. The programme highlighted togetherness, gratitude, and community, with activities held across the campuses. The event reinforced harmony and connection within PB, and PB extends Hari Raya greetings to all with hopes the festive goodwill continues to inspire unity and positivity. Politeknik Brunei Welcomes German Ambassador for Official Visit

14 April 2026 – Politeknik Brunei welcomed H.E. Mr. Weert Börner, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Acting Director, Pg Dr Saiful Baharin bin Pg Haji Duraman, hosted the visit. The programme included a campus tour, meetings with students from all schools, and showcases presented by talented students. Discussions focused on advancing TVET, digital transformation, Industry 4.0, and future collaborations between Brunei and Germany.

Politeknik Brunei Staff Celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri in Spirit of Unity and Appreciation

7 April 2026 – Politeknik Brunei held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration exclusively for staff, fostering unity, appreciation, and gratitude during the festive season. The Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Pengiran Dr. Saiful Baharin bin Pengiran Haji Duraman, Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei. The celebration brought staff together in a warm atmosphere and reinforced the sense of community within the institution. Majlis Penyerahan Tugas Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Politeknik Brunei

1 April 2026 – The handover ceremony for the Politeknik Brunei Student Representative Council (MPP) from the 2024/2025 session to the 2025/2026 session was successfully held at the Auditorium Hall, Additional Building, Information Department, Prime Minister’s Office. The Guest of Honour was Acting Assistant Director (Academic), Cikgu Rahimah binti Haji Mohidin. The event marked the leadership transition and expressed appreciation for the outgoing council’s dedication, while congratulating the incoming leadership on their new responsibilities to strengthen unity, student welfare, and community development at PB.

Politeknik Brunei Students Embark on Study Programme in China Under Hengyi Collaboration

10 March 2026 — Ten Chemical Engineering students from Politeknik Brunei embarked on an educational journey to Lanzhou, People’s Republic of China, from 10 March to June 2026 as part of the Hengyi Industries Sendirian Berhad collaboration with Lanzhou Petrochemical University of Vocational Technology (LPUVT). The programme provides international exposure, technical knowledge development, and hands-on industry insights, with the expectation that the students will contribute to Brunei’s energy and petrochemical sectors. The sending-off ceremony was attended by the Acting Director, Hengyi Industries representatives, Head of School of Petrochemical, lecturers, officers, students, families, and friends. A sponsorship signing ceremony for the Diploma in Chemical Engineering was held on 24 February 2026 at Hengyi Industries.

Politeknik Brunei Strengthens Spiritual Unity Through Khatam Al-Qur’an Ceremony

5 March 2026 — Politeknik Brunei held a Khatam Al-Qur’an and Tahlil Ceremony at Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in conjunction with the blessed month of Ramadan 1447H / 2026M. The ceremony was graced by Yang Mulia Pg Dr Saiful Baharin bin Pg Haji Duraman, Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei, and attended by assistant directors, senior officers, academic and non-academic staff, and Muslim students from Intake-15. The programme included Surah Al-Fatihah, the Khatam Al-Qur’an recitation led by academic staff Yang Mulia Muhammad Hazmi bin Haji Rajab, Takhtim, Tahlil, Doa Khatam, Dikir Marhaban, and Doa Kesyukuran. The initiative aims to encourage Qur’an recitation, strengthen unity within the PB community, and seek Allah’s blessings.
